Mirabai Chanu INOX: The Indian weightlifter who recently bagged silver at the Olympics was celebrated by multiplex chain Inox who marked the historic win by granting her as well as all other Indian Olympic bound athletes who will bag medal for the country a lifetime of free tickets to watch as many as movies they wish.
Inox promised free unlimited lifetime tickets for all the medal bearing Indian athletes. Moreover, the company promised the same for a year to all the other participating athletes.
The official statement, made on Twitter, read, “INOX takes immense pride in all the endeavours of #teamindia at #tokyo2020.”
It added, “we are happy to announce free movie tickets for a lifetime for all the other medal winners and for one year for all the other athletes.”

Concerning the victory of the 26-year-old, Chanu tweeted that the silver medal was even more special to her because of the love she received from the people of her state as well as the entire country.
She added that she was grateful to each and every person who congratulated and blessed her.
Chanu has now returned to her native village nongpok kakching.
Mirabai Chanu Receives Lifetime Free Pizza
Chanu mentioned in one of her post-match interviews that she wanted to celebrate her big victory by eating pizza. Soon after, Domino’s and other pizza brands stepped in and took the cue of offering Chanu pizzas once she would return home.

The Indian weightlifter has a record of winning multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games. She was also awarded the prestigious Padma Shri by Narendra Singh Modi in the year 2018 for her contributions to sports. The same year, she was also awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.
Reportedly, her family identified her strength and potential to weightlift when Chanu was 12-year-old. She was able to carry a huge bundle of firewood with ease when her elder brother found it difficult.
