Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has become the latest female celebrity to fall prey to online trolls for smoking and wearing "revealing clothes" during a photoshoot.
What happened?
The 'Hindi Medium' actress received a lot of hate online after some behind-the-scene images from her photoshoot, where she can be seen smoking, got leaked online, reported HT.
Saba was getting ready and was in the midst of a dress change when the photos were taken.

In the image, she is seen wearing a white shirt while her assistant is removing her coat. She is holding a cigarette in her right hand.

Social media users did not approve of this and termed this conduct un-Islamic.
Another Pakistani actress Mahira Khan had become the victim of trolling a few months back when images of her smoking with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor in New York had leaked online. Khan then eventually issued an official clarification.
While trolling Saba, internet users used Mahira's example and said, “Saba Qamar has also begun following Mahira Khan. Is she even Muslim anymore?”
Industry comes out in support
While Saba has maintained silence on the matter, her close friends in the industry have come out in her support.
These include Pakistani actors Osman Khalid Butt, Adnan Siddiqui and Aijaz Aslam as well as lifestyle journalist Mishaal Cheema.
Siddiqui shamed the trollers and said, “Came through what’s being called BTS images of my colleague and a friend #SabaQamar’s recently done photoshoot which is spreading on social media like wildfire, I’m deeply saddened by this act, this is not us and we shouldn’t take pride in it in any manner! #support #friendship"
Saba's collegue in TV drama Baaghi, Osman Khalid took to Instagram and said, “For the love of God, stop looking for every excuse to drag your icons down... Stop sharing these images/videos and stop commenting on them. If you want to speak out, speak out against the jahalat of whoever did this just for social media infamy.”
Mishaal Cheema slammed the trollers and tweeted a long note which said, “This message is for a very fine actress of Pakistan who is going through something ridiculous being done to defame her. Please give it a look and share to show support to her and this Industry! @s_qamarzaman #IsupportSabaQamar #SabaQamar #Lollywood #PakistaniShowbiz"
