Woman Gangraped In Ambulance: A 22-year-old married woman was allegedly gangraped in Jaipur, police said on Wednesday.

Moti Doongri Station House Officer (SHO) Surendra Pancholi said that the ambulance driver and his accomplice drove the vehicle to a secluded area, where they allegedly raped her.

A case under Section 376D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, was registered against the miscreants, based on the woman's complaint. A medical examination has also been done on her.

The driver and his friend have been taken to custody, and are being interrogated.

Bihar: woman gangraped and hung from electric pole

A woman was gangraped, thrashed, and hung from an electric pole, by some men, in Bihar's Chakhabib Rudhiya village of Samastipur which comes under the Vibhutipur Police station area.

She was found in an unconscious state by a villager, and was taken to the nearby Dalsinghsarai sub-divisional hospital. She was then shifted to the Samastipur Sadar Hospital for treatment. The woman is still in an unconscious state, and her statement is yet to be recorded by the police.

The woman's family members said that they were making preparations for a wedding ceremony, which made their area very crowded. It is suspected the labourers who were employed to set up the area for the wedding might have raped the woman.

Some villagers caught seven men who were suspected of committing the crime, and handed them over to the police. The suspects are now being interrogated by the police.

Woman activist gangraped at Tikri border

Recently a woman activist was allegedly gangraped at the Tikri border in Haryana. She later succumbed to COVID-19. The woman was from West Bengal, to the Tikri border, to join the farmers' protest that was going on. A case was registered against four men and two women.
