Marriage has no age and a couple in Bhopal proved it right once again. Habib Nazar, a 103-year-old man got married to a woman half his age last year in Bhopal. The video of their marriage has now gone viral inviting warm regards from people.
How did the couple end up together?
As per reports, Nazar is a freedom fighter and this is his third marriage. He first got married in Maharashtra's Nashik but his wife passed away. Then, he moved to Lucknow and married another woman to ward off his loneliness who too passed away to "another world".
His third wife, 49-year-old Firoz Jahan is also a widow who lost her husband. However, she agreed to marry Nazar seeing his deteriorating health and the lack of people to take care of the elderly freedom fighter. On the other hand, Nazar married Jahan because he was feeling lonely. The couple married in the Itawa region of Bhopal last year.
The video of the duo shows them coming back from their nikah ceremony. Expressing his feelings in a rather poetic manner, Nazar said, "Kisi cheez ki kami nahi hai. Kami hamare dilon mein hai" (I don't feel a shortage of anything. I only feel loneliness).
What the couple want to say about each other
Speaking to the reporters, Nazar said, "I'm 103 years old, and my wife is 49. I got married for the first time in Nashik. After she passed away, I went to Lucknow to tie the knot again. My second wife also left for the other world. I was feeling lonely. So I married again."
On the other hand, wife Jahan said that marrying Nazar was her own decision and claimed that nobody had forced her to marry him. She further asserted that her husband is in good health with no medical issues.
