Three sisters passed the Rajasthan Administrative Service Exam 2018 with flying colours. Daughters of a farmer in Rajasthan, the sisters will now join their two elder sisters as civil officials.

3 Daughters Crack RAS: Three sisters from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, Anshu, Reetu, and Suman, have cleared the state's administrative examination, joining their two other sisters, Roma and Manju, who are already government officials.

The three sisters have passed the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam 2018, the results of which were released on July 13. The five sisters have now become RAS officers and are daughters of Sahdev Saharan, a farmer in Rajasthan.

Officer Parveen Kaswan of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) tweeted the news. He congratulated them and shared a picture of the two of them together. 

Sahadev Saharan, the father of five sisters who only completed eighth grade, has been a source of inspiration for many. Lakshmi, their mother, has not received any formal education. 

Anshu, Suman, and Ritu credit their accomplishments to their parents, grandma Sundar Devi, uncle Ramesh, and teachers., Anshu was ranked 31st in the OBC category, Reetu 96th, and Suman 98th. Reetu is the newest candidate who cleared the civil service examination.

Roma passed the RAS test in 2010. She was the first RAS officer in the family. She currently works as a Block Development Officer in Sujangarh's Jhunjhunu district. Manju passed the RAS exam in 2017 and now works in Nohar for the Hanumangarh Cooperative Department.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) released the RAS 2018 final results on Tuesday. Mukta Rao of Jhunjhunu secured first place in the exam, followed by Manmohan Sharma of Tonk and Shivakshi Khandal of Jaipur.

After passing the written test and interview, a total of 2,023 students were recommended for further appointment.

Netizens jumped in to congratulate all students who successfully cleared the prestigious exam. Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, also congratulated the toppers via Twitter.

 

Ex MLA of Rajasthan, Dr Alka Gurjar also wished the students congratulations on Twitter.
