Actor Sonali Bendre, a mother of a 14-year old, is getting the hang of the jargons used by generation Z.
The Bollywood actor, who often shares snippets of her day-to-day life on social media, made her followers know the new terms she learned from her son, Ranveer.
On Monday, along with a picture of herself, dressed in a hoodie she wrote in her Instagram post, "All good in the hood!". She added a hashtag that read #TermsILearnFromMySon to the caption.
Last year, during a JioSaavn podcast titled Raising Parents, Bendre spoke about her relationship with her teenage son. The Indian actor said that she is not her "child’s friend" and neither does she believes she needs to be one.
"I am his parent and why can’t I be a friendly parent and have a great time together," she said.
The 46-year-old mother also stated that she never lies to her child, in the same interview. "I might dress up the truth but have never lied,” Bendre said.
“If I expect my child to be truthful, I need to be true to him,” she further explained.
In 2018, the actor was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and underwent treatment in New York. While battling cancer she constantly updated her friends and followers about her condition.
Sonali Bendre revealed her son reacted "maturely" to the news in an Instagram post. "In some situations now, he even reverses roles and takes on being the parent, reminding me of things I need to do!,” she wrote.
She stated that her son, 12-year-old then, has been a pillar of strength for her in the trying times. “And today, we derive strength from each other #OneDayAtATime,” she added.
