On a new episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan Markle opened up about a deeply personal side of her life that is striking a different chord with the listeners. During the conversation, she revealed the emotional toll of miscarriage and the complexity of motherhood.
“I have spoken about the miscarriage we experienced,” Meghan said. “And I think in some parallel way, when you have to learn to detach from the thing that you have so much promise and hope for and to be able to be OK at a certain point to let something go, something that you plan to love for a long time.”
Her words shed light on the quiet grief many women go through and the strength it takes to move forward.
The Highs and Lows of Motherhood
Now a mother of two, Meghan also spoke candidly about the push and pull of parenting, a sentiment that many mothers will relate to. “Oh my gosh, I love being a mom so much, it’s my favourite thing. But then sometimes, you’re like I just need a break, I just need a minute, but then the second you step in the other room, I’m like, ‘let me scroll through pictures of them endlessly on my phone’.”
Her honesty highlights the emotional tug-of-war that often accompanies motherhood — the exhaustion, the love, and the longing all at once.
Prince Harry has always been vocal in his support for Meghan, especially as she embarks on new ventures. Speaking to People magazine about the launch of her brand As Ever, he shared:
“I am so happy for my wife and fully support absolutely everything she’s done and continues to do. I’m incredibly proud.”
Harry also made a brief appearance in Meghan’s new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, which premiered on March 4, 2025. The couple shared a sweet moment during a celebratory brunch, where Harry told her: “You did a really great job. I love it.”
Meghan and Harry, who married in May 2018 and became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are parents to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Whether through their heartfelt interviews or public appearances, they do not fail to share moments of vulnerability, growth, and unwavering support for one another.
