Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 16. The film revolves around a boxer trying to escape his criminal past. The trailer of the film introduced the cast’s characters: Farhan Akhtar stars as Aziz Ali, a goon from Mumbai’s Dongri, Mrunal Thakur plays Aziz’s romantic interest and Paresh Rawal stars as Aziz’s boxing coach.

Apart from Farhan, Mrunal and Paresh Rawal, the cast also includes Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr Mohan Agashe and Darshan Kumaar in prominent supporting roles in the film.

The trailer begins with Mrunal’s character trying to convince Aziz to go back into boxing after a five-year ban. The stills show how Ajju Bhai, a thug from Dongri evolves from a goon to Aziz Ali, a respected boxer, who then aims to make a triumphant comeback with the help of his coach and wife. The trailer leaves the audience guessing the unnamed scandal that frames the life of Farhan’s character.

More About The Cast

The release date of the boxing drama was postponed earlier because of the advent of the COVID-19 second wave. Farhan along with partner Ritesh Sidhwani and the director Rakeysh Mehra are producing the film together and posted a joint statement about the delay on Twitter.
