Storytelling To AI: How This Entrepreneur Is Transforming PR For The Modern Era

What inspired you to venture into entrepreneurship, and how has your journey been as a co-founder in the tech-driven PR industry?

Storytelling has always been my passion since childhood, through which I can help brands across sectors connect with their target audience, thereby fostering brand awareness. After a vast experience in public relations, I witnessed the gap in the market for tech-driven, strategic brand communication solutions tailored to modern businesses. From here only, the journey of PRandit begins, which has now turned into one of the leading PR strategy firms that strikes a perfect balance between innovation and traditional PR principles.

The journey for me in establishing PRandit has been both challenging and rewarding, but I would say it has been fruitful because the path to success is never easy. One of our core focuses here was also job creation, through which we can increase the employment opportunities for aspiring PR professionals, and through PRandit we have been able to fulfil the job creation aspect successfully.

As we dive into the PR space, we know it's quite a competitive space, and establishing your agency's credibility needs an out-of-the-box approach; however, each milestone reaffirmed my belief that determination and innovation can overcome any hurdle. For me, I have always believed in one success mantra that works for me really well: consistency is the key to achieving anything and everything you want.

What unique challenges have you faced as a woman entrepreneur, and how have you navigated them to build a successful company like PRandit?

When you start your journey in the tech-driven space, women are often stereotyped. Winning the trust of brands and stakeholders was another hurdle, as many brands were quite reluctant in the initial stages to place bets on a young, woman-led company.

To overcome this challenge, I focused on consistently delivering results and building a strong team aligned with our vision. By embracing technology, fostering transparency, and establishing meaningful relationships with clients, we positioned ourselves as a trusted partner.

As a mentor, how do you support and guide the next generation of women entrepreneurs? Can you share any success stories of those you’ve mentored?

As a mentor, I believe in understanding the hurdles, aspirations, and purpose of each entrepreneur I guide. I guide them to take baby steps if they want to succeed with clarity in vision. I believe that goal-setting is the core to achieving success. Also, it's always good to do networking as much as possible; you never know how it can prove beneficial for you in the future because it really works.

Additionally, I focus on instilling confidence in their abilities. Practical advice combined with emotional support can go a long way in shaping their entrepreneurial journey. Also, through the GIZ HER&Now program, we worked with and supported 500+ women entrepreneurs from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to share their journey with the relevant media, enhancing their media visibility that helped them boost their confidence.

One memorable success story I remember was mentoring a woman entrepreneur who transformed her passion for wellness into a thriving brand. I have helped her in developing communication storytelling through a tailored storytelling approach. It helped her brand gain media visibility but also attracted key investors that helped her secure the first series of funding for her brand through consistent, impactful PR campaigns. This always makes me feel happy about how she has been successful in scaling her brand from scratch.

How is AI reshaping the PR industry, and what innovations is PRandit implementing to stay ahead in the AI-driven PR landscape?

AI has been the game-changer for the PR industry as it helps in diverse aspects from monitoring and sentiment analysis to personalized content creation. It helps PR professionals to work smarter, offering deeper insights and reducing manual tasks, and it ultimately helps with more time for creativity and strategy.

At PRandit, we are also integrating tools for predictive analytics, automated press release distribution, and real-time media monitoring. Additionally, we are exploring how generative AI can help in drafting content tailored to audience preferences.

What are some other key trends you’re observing in the PR industry?

The PR industry is evolving day by day with many new key trends in the industry, including data-driven storytelling, as nowadays brands demand measurable impact, and here analytics becomes an integral part. Additionally, the trend of personalised communications, inculcating customization in key brand messages, is increasingly important. As the technology is rapidly evolving, AI integration has actually become a time saver for PR professionals that helps in media monitoring, content creation, etc. The industry will witness new heights in the coming time.

Can you share your thoughts on the importance of female representation in leadership roles, particularly in the tech and media sectors?

Female representation in leadership roles is an important step as it fosters diverse perspectives, innovation, and inclusive decision-making. Women leaders often bring an empathetic approach with them that helps in more customized solutions to cater to their target audience, and I believe these skills are irreplaceable in today’s dynamic business environment.

Being part of the IIMB Goldman Sachs 10K program has given me the opportunity to connect with peer women entrepreneurs and learn from their inspiring journeys. Their stories reflect how women lead with grace, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose. Increasing female representation in tech and media not only challenges gender biases but also sets a benchmark for future generations.
