Meet Anushriya Gulati, Biker Champion Who Won Big At National Racing Championship

Anushriya Gulati won the Rookie Crown and stood winner in the women's category at the Indian National Racing Championship.

Anushriya Gulati: Anushriya Gulati won the winner's trophy in not just but two categories at the  JK Tyre-FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship.

She is now the champion in the tournament's LGB-4 Rookie Crown as well as the winner in Women's Category. Racing is not the only sport Gulati is associated with. “It wasn’t easy as the competition was very tough, with many boys in the fray in the Rookie category and some experienced ladies in the Women’s category,” she said. 

Here is everything we know of Anushriya Gulati: 

  • Anushirya Gulati grabbed the Rookie Crown trophy and another in Women's category at Indian National Racing Championship in Coimbatore last weekend. She scored a total of 77 points in the Rookie category by winning three races in the opening round. 
  • She won by a small margin by defeating two experiences racers, Mira Erda and Pheobe Nongrum, in the woman's category. 
  • Gulati said that she took up formula racing just a year ago and was able to win two titles in just her second year. 
  • Gulati also has set a record in bike racing. At present, she is the only female biker in India to have completed 100,000 kilometres on a Harley-Davidson bike. 
  • She is also the youngest female biker in India who rode till Khardung La pass in Ladakh. 
  • Gulati started riding bikes at the age of 19 and in 2018 she became part of an all-women bikers race to 12 cities in India which was completed in 14 days. 
  • Gulati is part of Ahura Racing, a racing academy founded by Sarosh Hataria. It is the same academy that had launched the all-women bikers race in 2018. 
  • Gulati has also reportedly represented India in shooting championship. 
  • She has also played basketball for her home state Uttarakhand.
