'It's A Girl Thing India' Celebrates Indomitable Spirit Of Sisterhood This Women's Day

AJIO presents It's A Girl Thing India, has definitely been one-of-a-kind festival that since its inception has aimed at empowerment, education, and enablement of women and their achievements across all walks of life. After three wonderfully curated online festivals, they wrapped up their first-ever on-ground season with a bang on February 4th. This event powered by Reliance Digital and co-powered by SUGAR Cosmetics, was hosted on MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai. It hosted more than 50 empowering boss women from multiple backgrounds to perform and speak on various topics celebrating womanhood and inspiring several other young women to become best versions of themselves.

IAGT India Celebrates Sisterhood And More

The festival has two stages with some fantastic chats and acts. The AJIO All Stars Stage celebrated the power of sisterhood through stand-up comedy, music, spoken word, discussions, dance, and much more. The female creators present at the festival set the stages on fire and left the audiences mesmerized with their talent. These performances had the audiences captivated with their influential messaging on women's equality, opportunities, and other pivotal topics to enable holistic growth.

The Reliance Unfiltered Stage witnessed some inspiring creators weaving stories into their conversation on-stage. The audiences were wowed by how these creators’ used technology, even in its simplest forms, to become the best versions of themselves. The fact that this awe-inspiring fest was held on-ground for the very first time added to the excitement.

IAGT India, in its first on-ground edition, established the importance of gender equality, recognizing outstanding examples of India’s potential for social inclusivity. This event was given some extra oomph through their association with Girl Up, an initiative of the United Nations Foundation. The initiative dedicatedly strives towards providing women with the platforms and environment necessary to attain their goals and reach newer heights.

The SUGAR Cosmetics Hangout zone witnessed serious and significant conversations about breaking societal barriers, mental health, self-love, and several other intriguing topics. The creators and influencers had a terrific time exploring different looks, engaging with the audience, and going all out to bring out their creative best.

A punch of fun and flavor was added to the day by the flea market at the venue. This flea market supported women-led businesses, further reinforcing IAGT’s dedication towards promoting gender equality and helping women gain financial freedom. Kaushik Mukherjee, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of SUGAR Cosmetics, commented - ‘With excitement building up in the audience, the brand’s philosophy of empowering women, helping them look beyond what society deems acceptable, and being comfortable, confident, and bold in their own skin. The brand’s collaboration with AJIO’s It’s A Girl Thing has only helped them move a step closer to achieving their goal’.

A Reliance Digital spokesperson mentioned that the fest witnessed the most amazing creators effortlessly having candid conversations at the Reliance Digital Unfiltered Stage. They spoke about how the simplest of technology encouraged and inspired them to achieve their dreams beyond imagination, amongst other things. They also mentioned that they hope this synergistic association continues to inspire all women in the future.
