Tarla Dalal, a well-known Indian chef, is one of them. When the idea of a chef or cooking programmes appeared alien to our culture, she was the only name most Indians knew and would fetch recipes of if they ever wanted to break free from the monotony of their daily meals and enjoy a beautiful supper with their family.

"Cook it up with Tarla Dalal" was a one-of-a-kind show at a time when people were not used to experimenting with their food and truly globalising cooking. She may have passed away, but her recipes will live on in our hearts forever. Any discussion of India's cooks must include Mrs. Tarla Dalal, the Padam Shri winner.

Her Kadai Paneer recipe, an Indian vegetarian meal made with cottage cheese, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, and a combination of Indian spices, is a must-try. This dish's recognisable feature is the aroma of spices cooked in boiling tomatoes. Kadai Paneer is a spicy paneer dish with capsicum. Paneer is an Indian cottage cheese, and Kadai means wok. This curry is from India's northwestern region and is known for its rich flavour. This complements soft phulkas, rotis, and even plain pulao.

Paneer is versatile and can be used in a variety of recipes. Because of its delicate, silky flavour, paneer can be used in curries or barbecued as a side dish. It's one of those dishes that everyone in my family, from children to adults, enjoys. It's a great meat substitute, and many vegetarians in the north love paneer meals. Paneer is a popular and easy-to-find cheese. Paneer Tikka, Palak Paneer, Kadai Paneer, Mutter Paneer, Paneer Masala, Paneer Bhurji, Paneer Pakora, and so on are just a few of the meals you can prepare. It's high in protein, aids weight loss (when consumed in moderation), and lowers the risk of heart disease. It's healthy for the stomach, and it's an all-rounder, to put it that way.
