The movie, directed by Shakun Batra, features Deepika Padukone, Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles and is based on the theme of adultery. The trailer of Gehraiyaan was recently released on January 20 followed by the song Doobey from the film that came out on January 24. The trailer and song have increased the anticipation of fans and they just can't seem to wait to watch Gehraiyaan online.

Gehraiyaan is all set to release on February 11 and the cast is busy with promotions. You can watch Gehraiyaan online on Amazon Prime Video as the movie is releasing on the OTT platform instead of cinema halls due to the COVID-19 situation.

Describing his first encounter with the story of the film, actor Siddhant Chaturvedi said, “It has been two years since we started working on this film. I remember the first time I met Shakun Batra at Karan’s (Johar) place. When he narrated the script, I was blown away. I said yes right there."

The movie is based on the intertwined lives and complicated relations of Tia Khanna (Ananya Panday), her fiance Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Tia's cousin Alisha (Deepika Padukone). All set to marry Tia, Zain, in the movie trailer, is seen having an affair with her cousin Alisha.

The plot has broken relations, a taboo love story, cheating, ambitions and a lot more emotions that the characters are suppressing and hiding. For fans who are waiting to watch Gehraiyaan online, let me tell you it is not just your typical cheating story, it has much more gehraiyaan (depth).

Gehraiyaan recently went through a rough patch when some of the Assistant Directors of the team contracted COVID-19. As a result, the promotions and trailer release were halted. The movie was earlier set to get an OTT release on January 25 but after the team being tested for COVID-19, the release date was shifted to February 11. However, now the team has resumed the promotions and are all ready for the film release.
