Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queen Of Mumbai.

Based on real life of Gunjan Saxena, the movie shows a strong willed Gunjan who is an army kid as her father and brother are both Lieutenant Colonels in Indian Army. Gunjan, too, wants to serve her country and decides to become a pilot in Indian Air Force. With the belief of her father and family and her determination and hard work, she beats all odds to become a part of a few females in IAF and eventually serving in the historic 1999 Kargil War.

Mardaani

The iconic Bollywood movie starring Rani Mukherjee, the movie shows the story of Shivani Shivaji Roy, Senior Inspector at Mumbai Police's Crime Branch. While investigating a case of a teenage girl's kidnapping, she comes across a serial criminal and Mafia who is involved in human trafficking. Shivani decides to unravel the crime and capture the criminal to save the lives of innocent girls before it was too late.

Chhapaak

The movie is based on the real life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who was attacked out of jealousy. The movie captures her journey from losing her face but not losing her faith. Laxmi undergoes plastic surgeries, decides to give a second chance to life and looks for a job. Meanwhile she is also fighting an exhausting legal battle to punish her culprits and ban the sale of acid in market. She receives backlash, humiliation and judgement but she decides to fight back for herself and for other women like her.

Kahaani

This stunning suspense thriller starring Vidya Balan will keep you gripped to your seat till the very end. The story follows the journey of a pregnant Vidya Bagchi, a software engineer, who travels all the way from London to Kolkata to find her missing husband. The story is full of twists and revelations as we see pregnant Vidya mapping the streets of Kolkata looking for evidence and proofs all the while hiding a secret from the police and everyone around her.

Neerja

The movie is based on the real life incident that happened in 1986 when the Pan Am Flight 73 was hijacked by a group of terrorists in Karachi. With 379 passengers on board and their lives on stake, the head purser of pilot and brave young woman Neerja Bhanot comes forward to protect the lives of the people. Because of her string will and bravery, she was able to save 359 passengers but died herself while saving others.

Lipstick Under My Burkha

The movie shows the secret desires and wishes of women who are confined by the restrictions of the society. The film follows the life of four women who are living two lives, one that expects them to behave according to the set norms of the society while the other life of their dreams, desires and ambitions. While they do so, they face challenges, threats, sadness and pain but that doesn't stops them for seizing what is their's, freedom.

Mom

This movie was the last film of veteran actor Sridevi in a lead role. The movie was the story of a Biology teacher Devki whose daughter is kidnapped and raped by her students in order to take revenge from Devki for their humiliation. Devki shows her fierce look as she gets on a killing spree, as she makes calculative plans of the death of each culprit. The movie shows her fight against the system and the powerful to avenge the wrong done to her daughter.
