Veer Pahariya Shares How Janhvi Kapoor Inspired His Acting Career

Veer Pahariya is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the film Sky Force. As the release date draws near, Veer is actively involved in the film's promotional activities. During a recent interview, he shared how he drew inspiration from his close connection with actor Janhvi Kapoor, who has been a guiding influence for him in his role.

Veer, who considers Janhvi "nearly family," praised her acting skills, particularly her role as an Air Force pilot in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, a biopic. He said, "I think she's very talented as an actress, and she has played a real character in Gunjan Saxena. That was a biopic as well. So yeah, any of my friends are actors; I don't miss out on the chance of asking them for any advice. And she's pretty experienced. So yeah, I did take a lot of advice."

The debutante also expressed admiration for Janhvi's approach to film selection, "To be honest, I really, really respect Janhvi as an artist. Because, if you look at her film choices, she could have chosen the big films, which are more commercial. But she wanted to prove her acting mettle. So, I really have respect for that.”

He further mentioned, "She really loves movies, and she loves performing. So, usse mujhe bohot prerna mili hai (I got inspired by her). I really enjoy her choice of films, and it means a lot that she is supporting me." For those unaware, Janhvi Kapoor is dating Veer's brother, Shikhar Pahariya.

Who Is Veer Pahariya? 

Veer Pahariya, the son of Sanjay Pahariya and Smruati Shinde, hails from a notable family background, with his grandfather being the former Maharashtra CM Sushil Kumar Shinde. The couple separated shortly after their children were born. 

From a young age, Veer Pahariya displayed a strong interest in acting, receiving formal training to pursue this passion. Meanwhile, his elder brother, Shikhar Pahariya, pursued a different path, establishing himself as an investment banker based in London. Despite their divergent careers, the two brothers have collaborated on various business ventures.

In 2014, Veer Pahariya began his professional journey at a young age by starting his career as an intern under the guidance of Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty. This early experience involved contributing to the production of the Bloomberg TV show The Outsider, marking the beginning of a diverse and accomplished career in audio-visual storytelling.

Before stepping into acting, Veer Pahariya first worked as an assistant director. Notably, he went beyond this role by also serving as a body double for Varun Dhawan in the movie Bhediya.
