Who Is Tanvi Hegde?

At the age of 9, Tanvi showcased her talent in MF Husain's film Gaja Gamini alongside Madhuri Dixit. Afterward, she portrayed the character of Frooti in Son Pari, an Indian children's fantasy adventure TV series that was broadcast on Star Plus from 2000 to 2004. The show revolved around the adventures of Frooti, a young girl who discovers a magical ball that, upon rubbing, brings forth a fairy named Son Pari and her companion Samip.

In 2009, she portrayed the courageous school student Vaishnavi in Chal Chalein, showcasing her versatility. Transitioning from her child star persona, Tanvi ventured into Bollywood with notable roles in films like Prakash Jha's Rahul, where she starred as a child artist opposite Neha and Inder Kumar. She also starred in Pitaah, starring Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, and Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! alongside Shahid Kapoor.

In 2016, Tanvi ventured into Marathi cinema with the film Athang, marking her debut as a female lead. In this psychological drama, she portrayed the character Shilpa, who experiences unrequited love for a cardiologist. Despite her conviction of his reciprocated feelings, reality proves otherwise.

In recent years, Tanvi has shifted her focus to the Marathi film industry, where she has been recognised for her performances in movies like Shiva, Athang, and Dhurandhar Bhatawdekar. Her latest appearance was in the film Alipt in 2021, showcasing her continued dedication to her craft.
