This is not the first time that a 17-year-old contestant took the heat on social media for her performance. Earlier in May, disappointed fans demanded her eviction from the show, calling her performance "pathetic." Quite recently, the show had invited staunch criticism when the singer paid a tribute to musician Shravan Rathod and performed Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai, leaving netizens furious as they blamed her for ruining a cult classic. The singer has been at the receiving end of hateful comments since the beginning of the current season.
