Who is Ishita Dutta? Here's What We Know About The Drishyam Actor

Indian actor Ishita Dutta had recently come in the spotlight, after she starred in the Hindi adaptation of The Girl On The Train, which itself is an adaptation of Paula Hawkins' novel.

The film which is a psychological thriller, garnered a lot of appreciation from the audience.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Dutta said that she wishes to take up 'strong and glamourous' roles. “I want to don a glamorous avatar but at the same time balance it with my don’ts list. Most of my projects have been submissive, simple, thodi se bechari and all. I want to change that as I want to do stronger characters and roles – it can be glamorous or non-glamorous,” she said.

1. Ishita Dutta was born on 26 August 1990 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
2. She completed her schooling from D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur, and went on to study media in Mumbai.
3. She is the sister of Tanushree Dutta, an actor and model, who had won the Femina Miss India in 2004.
4. It is said that her sister encouraged her to join Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares school, and make her mark in the entertainment industry.
5. Dutta made her debut, with the Telugu film Chanakyudu, in 2012.
6. In the same year, she got an opportunity to work with her sister, in the film Yenidu Manasali. However, the film was never released.
7. She then made her TV debut, with the Star Plus's soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga, in 2013.
8. Dutta then went on to make her Bollywood debut with the 2015 film, Drishyam. She later on starred in several Hindi films, such as Firangi, Lashtam Pashtam, Setters, etc.
9. She has also starred on many TV shows, such as Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar, Kaun Hai?, Bepannah, etc. She was last seen in Bepanah Pyaar.
10. On 28 November 2017, she got married to her former co-star, Vatsal Sheth.
