Jalsa aims for a thrilling movie experience at home from two of the best female Bollywood actors, Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah. It appears to be a gripping crime drama film whose trailer was released recently.

Jalsa is an upcoming crime thriller produced by T-Series and Abuntantia Entertainment and directed by Suresh Triveni. The movie will star Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in lead roles along with Rohini Hattangadi, Manav Kaul, Mohammed Iqbal Khan, Surya Kasibhatla and Shafeen Patel in important roles.

The shooting of the movie began in August 2021 and concluded in January 2022 after which the makers started preparing for an OTT release. The movie will be available to watch online soon in March 2022. The trailer of the film released on March 9, 2022.

Jalsa is based on the life of two women, Maya, played by Vidya Balan, who is a journalist and is often seen fearlessly and honestly voicing her opinion. She has a house help, Rukhsana, played by Shefali Shah, whose daughter gets into a road accident one night and dies that initiates a chain of events involving politics, power, money while she tries to find justice. Throughout her struggle for justice, Maya stands for Rukhsana, fighting for her and her daughter and unveiling the truth about that night.

Where To Watch Jalsa Online?

Talking about the movie and its story, Vidya Balan stated at the trailer launch that the story is about human beings and not just two women. She also said that the attempt is to tell a story and not to put out a message but if the audience can relate to its events and story then it would just be a bonus.

The trailer of the film was shared by both the leads of the film, Vidya and Shefali, on their Instagram with different captions. While Vidya called it “Truth is stranger than fiction!”, Shefali wrote, “One Truth, many versions!”.

The movie will release on Amazon Prime Video and will be available to watch online on March 18, 2022.
