Weekend Family release date will be mark the first time that OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar will be releasing a French original. The series was announced by the OTT platform in December 2021 and is expected to release soon in 2022.
Weekend Family is a fun and comical Family drama that will be airing on Hotstar soon in March 2022. The drama will follow the chaotic life of a man who spends his weekend with his children from his exes and current girlfriend in the same house. Those few days at the end of the week are full of crazy stuff with exes joining in on the craziness from time to time.
Weekend Family Release Date, Plot, Cast
The French series is the story of Fred, a father of three daughters from his three exes. He is given the custody of his daughters on weekends that itself is very chaotic as his daughters have different personalities and preferences. The weekend packed even more by the often visits of his three exes that seem to add on to the drama and disaster. Fred falls in love for a fourth time with Emmanuelle, a Canadian emigrant. She moves in with him and hence begins the drama and craziness involving the exes, step-sisters and their father's new girlfriend, all under one roof.
The series is produced by Groupe Elephant and created by Baptiste Fillhuel. The show stars Eric Judor playing the role of Fred and Daphnee Cote Halle as Fred's new girlfriend. Jeanne Bournaud, Annelise Hesme and Anabel Lopez play the role of Fred's three exes with whom he has three daughters, one daughter from each. Liona Bordonaro, Midie Dreyfus and Roxane Barrazuol play the role of the three daughters.
The series is set to release on March 9, 2022 in UK on Disney Plus Hotstar. The English trailer of the series was released on February 23, 2022 that gave a glimpse into the chaotic life of Fred and family. Weekend Family is one of the 60 original series that Disney Plus Hotstar has committed to make Europe by the year 2024.
