When Is Good Luck Jerry Release Date?

When is Good Luck Jerry release date? Janhvi Kapoor's much-awaited film Good Luck Jerry is all set to hit the OTT platform this month. The film is scheduled for a direct OTT release instead of the theatrical release. Good Luck Jerry is a remake of the popular Tollywood movie-Kolamaavu Kokila.

In the remake, Janhvi will play the same part as Nayanthara did in the Tamil movie. The Siddharth Sengupta-directed movie, however, would take place in a different environment. Good Luck Jerry written by Pankaj Matta will have  Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh all play significant roles in the film.

When Is Good Luck Jerry Release Date?

The comedy revolves around a young girl named Jerry who sacrifices everything to save her dying mother. The movie, which is directed by Siddharth Sen Gupta, is made by Lyca Productions, Mahaveer Jain, and Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions.

In discussions about the movie, Janhvi Kapoor stated, “Jerry is a unique character, playing her was a challenge for me as an actor. The wit and comic timing of Jerry during any serious situations was an important aspect of the character."

Aanand L Rai, the producer of the film, said, “Good Luck Jerry is a story of a girl who is down on her luck, using her instincts to kick back and stay afloat among life’s challenges but this ends up unleashing chaos on the way.”

A horrified Janhvi Kapoor could be seen aiming a gun in the first poster of the movie which was released recently. Her nose ring and the bindi on her forehead made a strong statement about her appearance. The next poster shows her hiding behind a table with tiffin boxes stashed on it. Taking the two posters to Instagram, she captioned them-“Nikal Padi hu main ek naye adventure par, GoodLuck nahi bolenge? #GoodLuckJerry streaming from 29th July on @disneyplushotstar.”

Additionally, Janhvi will star alongside Varun Dhawan in the upcoming Nitesh Tiwari film Bawaal. She is now acting as a cricket player in the movie Mr and Mrs Mahi. Mili, a project by her father Boney Kapoor, is also in the works. Janhvi and Manoj Pahwa play the father and daughter respectively. In the movie, she is Sunny Kaushal's co-star.
