Virgin River Season 4 New Updates: Virgin River Season 3 premiered on July 9, 2021, on OTT platform Netflix. Soon after, the show started pre-production for Virgin River Season 4.
The show had been renewed for Season 4 and 5 last September. The season 3 finale left the audience with many questions regarding the fate of its characters. According to creator Sue Tenney, Season 4 plot will address these questions.
The main lead of the show, Alexandra Breckenridge revealed earlier that she wrapped up her shoot for Virgin River Season 4 in December 2021. Virgin River Season 4 is expected to return with most of the lead cast including Alexandra Breckenridge, Annette O'Toole, Martin Henderson, Lauren Hammersley and Tim Matheson among others.
Virgin River Season 4 New Updates
Actor Annette O'Toole is expected to have more screen time as Hope McCrea in the upcoming season of Virgin River since she wasn't able to shoot during Season 3 due to COVID-19. According to the updates given by creator Sue Tenney, O'Toole's Hope and Teryl Rothery's Muriel might become friends in the fourth season. "It starts as very antagonistic...In the slow burn category, you'll see moments coming up that are going to open up that relationship," Tenney mentioned while speaking to EW.
Tenney also mentioned in one of her interviews that the father of Mel's (Alexandra Breckenridge) baby might also be revealed in Season 4 and it might also shape the storyline of the season. "I will say if we get to go into a Season 4 that the audience will be genuinely surprised at who's behind all of it," She added referring to the real person who shot Jack.
Sue Tenney also gave a major hint regarding Season 4 plot promising that Jack (Henderson) and Mel (Breckenridge) will get married in the next season.
Actor Alexandra Breckenridge shared in one of her Instagram stories that the show is in the post-production stage hinting that it may be released on Netflix soon enough. She wrote in her post that the she completed her last ADR (Audio Digital Recording) for the fourth season which is one of the last stages of post-production.

There is no official release date of Virgin River Season 4 as of yet but it is expected that the show will coming out around the second or third quarter of 2022.
