Virgin River New Episodes: What's in Store For Season 4?

Virgin River New Episodes: Virgin River is an adaptation of Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series of novels. Following the story of the character Melinda Monroe, it focuses on a young midwife and nurse practitioner’s fresh start, after she moves out of a big city to a small rustic town in Northern California.

Virgin River in its first three seasons, has garnered so much audience that it has been renewed for two more seasons, even before season 3 was premiered on Netflix. Virgin River, first dropped in December 2019 and has consecutively released season 2 and season 3 in November 2020 and July 2021 respectively. Throughout the seasons, the audience has been introduced to new characters through Melinda and the drama is through the roof.

With a quaint small-town backdrop, the Virgin River has become a comfort show for the audience across the world. The series’ success in its initial seasons, and the 24 books on which the series it’s based on, give fans good reason to hold on to the show. With its storytelling, Virgin River sure knows how to end seasons with gripping Cliff-hangers. The show has a stellar cast with Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson in the lead roles.

Virgin River New Episodes Release Date

The filming of season 4 which started soon after season 3 premiered, wrapped in November 2021, as per reports. If previous timelines are to be considered, the new season of Virgin River might be premiering on Netflix by July 2022. However, no release date has been officially announced yet.

Season 4 reportedly picks up right from the season 3 cliff-hangers, which left the fans at the edge of their seats. The show has become one of the fan-favorites on Netflix and featured in the US top 10s for 75 days, with it being Number one for season 3,  in just over two weeks and dropped out of the list after, over a month later.

Virgin River season 4 will see two new characters as announced by Netflix in late October 2021, Mark Ghanimé, as Dr. Cameron Hayek, and Kai Bradbury as Denny Cutler, Doc’s long-lost grandson. The rest of the cast, along with Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel Monroe, Martin Henderson as Jack Sheridan, Daniel Gillies as Mark, Annette O'Toole as Hope McCrea, Tim Matheson as Doc Mullins, Colin Lawrence as John "Preacher" Middleton, Teryl Rothery as Muriel, Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie, Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey as Ricky, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Dan Brady, Zibby Allen as Brie Sheridan, Marco Grazzini returns in the new seasons, along with some of the new characters introduced in season 3 as series regulars.

The story will pick right up from so much drama between the leads and an unfortunate car accident. It will be mostly following Mel’s baby daddy mystery and promises to come around with answers, resolve open-ended conflicts, and hopefully with some answers on who shot Jack. It’s going to be a short wait until we finally get to see what is in store for the characters, in Virgin Rivers season 4, on our screens.
