Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan penned a heartfelt statement to celebrate his first wedding anniversary with actor-wife Nayanthara. He also shared some never-seen-before pictures of Nayanthara and their twins Uyir and Ulagam from a new photoshoot on Instagram.
Nayanthara is seen posing for the camera with the two babies in her arms. There is also a picture of one of them dressed in a red Santa romper.

Along with the pictures, Vignesh shared a note looking back at the year's memories, "Lotta Ups and downs. Unexpected setbacks! Testing times! But coming home to see a blessed family with immense love and affection reinstates soo much confidence and gives all the energy to keep running towards all the dreams and goals already manifested! Holding everything together, together with my - My Uyirs and Ulagams. The strength given by the family makes all the difference! Blessed with the best of people, striving to give them a good life is all the motivation that’s needed for hustlers like me.”
The couple first met on the sets of the 2015 blockbuster, Naanum Rowdydhaan. Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara tied the knot on June 9, 2022, in Mahabalipuram. The grand wedding was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, AR Rahman, Suriya, Mani Ratnam, and Jyotika, among others. They also welcomed their twins, Uyir Rudroneel N Shivan and Ulag Daiwik N Shivan on October 9, 2022, via surrogacy.
