Fashion designer Nandita Mahtani and actor Vidyut Jammwal are engaged! The two made it official with a social media announcement, "the commando way," alongside multiple snaps of themselves. "Couldn’t keep him hanging any longer…said yes!!1-9-21," Mahtani wrote with a photo of herself and Jammwal wall-climbing.

Other photos show Mahtani and Jammwal together at the Taj Mahal and by a poolside. The proposal took place on September 1 in Agra, where the couple was on a trip.

Congratulations are pouring in for the to-be-married couple from industry friends and colleagues. Photos of their engagement announcement have gone viral on social media.

Mahtani and Jammwal's relationship was a subject of much speculation among fans, especially since the two feature on each others' social media feeds. Earlier this year in January, Jammwal shared a solo photo of Mahtani attempting a climbing sport and captioned it, "Conquered."

Last year during his show X-Rayed, Jammwal dropped a hint on his love life saying he had just started seeing someone. He had been snapped with Mahtani multiple times, although the latter has confessed she prefers staying away from the shutterbugs and the couple's relationship was never confirmed. More on that here.

Mahtani is an accomplished name in the fashion industry, best known for her work with cricketer Virat Kohli. She was previously in a relationship with actor-model Dino Morea, with whom she ran a company Playground. According to reports, she was married to businessman Sanjay Kapur for two years before that.

Her label Nandita Mahtani has completed 17 years. "I am absolutely thrilled that I wake up having to challenge my creative side every day," she said in an interview three years ago.
