Actor Vidya Balan on Friday took to her Instagram handle to share a cryptic post leaving fans wondering whether she is going to make a special appearance in Koffee With Karan Season 7.
Balan is a talented powerhouse who has established herself in the industry for portraying powerful female characters on screen. With her performances in films like Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, Shakuntala Devi, Parineeta, and many others, the actor has been igniting screens and smashing numerous theatrical stereotypes. Moreover, with successful films like Sherni, and Jalsa, the actor has created a unique space for herself.

In an Instagram video, Balan is she seen wearing comfortable a red power suit, her hair tied in a high ponytail and accessoried with gold statement earrings. The video sees Balan reciting a voiceover, “If you are going to gossip, at least make sure you are very well dressed. You can’t look shit and talk shit at the same time.”

Well her post has left fans wondering if she is going to make an appearance on the ongoing celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan. Hosted by Karan Johar, the talk show is now in its seventh season. Balan graced the couch in season 3 along with Rani Mukerji in January 2011. In season 4, she appeared alongside Farhan Akhtar.
In an Instagram AMA session, Balan recently asked her followers for questions about “Women, Work, and Women At Work.” One of her followers asked her, ” Why are women paid less than men?” She replied, “Is sawal ka jawab mujhe bhi chahiye.” (Even I need an answer to this query.)
The actor had previously been questioned about pay parity during one of the interviews for a portal. When the actor was questioned about it, she answered frankly that she doesn’t have much to say about it because she plays the lead character in the majority of her movies.
She continued, “But I know that we still have a ways to go as far as our fee is concerned. Even in my genre of movies, there is still a long way to go when it comes to the disparity between the budgets received by male and female actors. But I like to concentrate on how far we’ve come. ”
Meanwhile on the work front, she will soon be seen in 'Neeyat' and another untitled movie directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta.
