Sherni Trailer Release Date: Vidya Balan is all set to be back on the silver screen this year with Sherni. Due to the pandemic induced restrictions, the film will have an OTT release. The trailer for the film will be released on June 2.

Vidya Balan starrer Sherni is all set to have a trailer released on June 2, the teaser for the same was released today. Balan took to Twitter and share it. The film which will have Balan in the role of a forest officer is directed by Amit Masurkar and produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment.

Balan wrote in her post, "A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the #Sherni roar? Here’s the Official Teaser. Trailer out, June 2. Meet #SherniOnPrime, June 2021. " Apart from Balan, The film's cast includes Sharad Saxena, Mukul Chaddha, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala and Neeraj Kabi. Sherni has been shot in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh.

The film had made headlines during its shooting in November when the shooting was reportedly suspended after Balan turned down MP minister Vijay Shah’s invitation for dinner, as per reports. Shah who is Madhya Pradesh’s Forest Minister, however, denied the allegations. Also in November, actor Vijay Raaz was arrested and later released on bail after a female crew member of Sherni filed a case of molestation against him.

Earlier this year, Balan’s short film Natkhat which  marked Balan’s debut as a producer managed to bag a spot in the Academy Awards. The film qualified in the Best Short Film (Live Action) category. The 33-minute short film has been directed by Shaan Vyas premiered at  Tribeca’s We Are One: A Global Film Festival.

Vidya Balan was last seen in Shakuntala Devi, which also released on Amazon Prime Video in July 2020.
