Vaibhavi Upadhyaya Dies In Accident
Actor Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, fondly known as Jasmine in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, passed away in a car accident on Tuesday morning in Himachal Pradesh. The news was revealed when producer JD Majethia shared the untimely demise of the 32-year-old actor.

He took to his social media handle to inform the news of her demise and convey his condolences. He described Upadhyaya as a fine actor and a dear friend. He shared that her family would bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for her final rituals.

According to an ETimes report, Upadhyaya was travelling with her fiance in a car when the vehicle went out of control at a steep turn, leading to the actor’s demise.

The late actor's fiance Jay Gandhi shared a heartwarming note in remembrance. Gandhi took to social media and shared an image of them together along with a note.

He wrote, "If only I could have you back for just a little while, then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do". Gandhi signed off by saying, "you are forever in my heart until we meet again, RIP my love".

Vaibhavi Upadhyaya Dies In Accident

Vaibhavi Upadhyaya was a notable actor in both television and theatre. She had worked with Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak, Rajkummar Rao in Citylights, Adaalat, CID, Kya Qusoor hain Amala Ka? and web series, Please Find Attached. In 2023, she appeared in the film Timir.

Upadhyaya was best known for her role as Jasmine in the sitcom Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai.

Her last Instagram post was from Himachal Pradesh. The actor had shared a montage video of a day from her trip on May 6. She captioned it, "Just last night in a silent moment of reflection. She explained that she had just finished watching "Sound of Metal," and it reminded her of the gifts and blessings that people are born with and how we take them for granted.

She concluded her post with a reminder for everyone to feel blessed and grateful to have a healthy body and perfect sensory system. She expressed how it was a basic yet crucial gift and that we should know it, feel it, maintain it, and celebrate it.

Noted television actor Deven Bhojani conveyed his condolences through a tweet. He expressed his dismay at hearing of Upadhyaya’s untimely demise and conveyed his condolences.

Actor Rupa Ganguly of Anupamaa also paid tribute to Upadhyaya, whom she worked alongside in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. She wrote about how unfair it was that Upadhyaya was gone too soon.
