The South Indian film industry has become more popular than before, especially, the Tamil film industry. From mindless mass entertainers like Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal to engaging films like Jai Bhim, the film industry has it all.

The fans now are looking forward to Kamal Hasan’s ">Vikram which has been creating social media buzz since the trailer was released on May 15. The epic action also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil; it features actor Suriya in a cameo appearance as well. The trailer is all about gore, and violence which indeed keeps the audience at the edge of their seats. The banger trailer has only made viewers more curious about the action film.

Nenjuku Needhi

Nenjuku Needhi <Justice for the heart> is an upcoming Tamil film which is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. The political-action drama film is a remake of the 2019 Anubhav Sinha film Article 15. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the Tamil film stars Aari Arujunan, Tanya Ravichandran, Shivani Rajashekhar and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin in pivotal roles in the film.

The shooting for the film began in April last year and was wrapped up in December. Now the film is all set to hit the screens on May 20, 2022. It will be exciting to see how does the Tamil remake of the Ayushmann Khurrana starter fares in cinema.

Victim: Who Is Next?

Victim: Who Is Next? is a Tamil anthology film which will be directed by Venkat Prabhu, Pa Ranjith, M Rajesh and Chimbu Devan. The underlying theme will be that the protagonists will be victims. The anthology by Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Productions with Axess Film Factory.  The Tamil drama cast includes actors like Prasanna, Amala Paul, Nassar, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others.

The film will be released in June 2022 but the date has not been announced yet.

Maamanithan

The upcoming Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in lead roles revolves around the life of an auto driver who is caught in a web of troubles after some family issues crop up. The film by Seenu Ramasamy also stars Guru Somasundaram, KPAC Lalitha and Jewel Mary. Ilyaraja and his Yuvan have composed music for the Ramasamy directorial.

Maamanithan marks the fourth-time collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Seenu Ramaswamy. The film which was earlier scheduled to release on May 20 will now be released on June 24, 2022. The date was pushed forward since multiple films starring Sethupathi were releasing one after the other.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

The film is a biographical drama film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. Written and directed by R Madhavan, the film also features him as Nambi Narayanan along with Simran.

The film focuses on Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University before it focuses on his work as a scientist and the allegations of espionage.  The movie which was simultaneously shot in Tamil, Hindi and English will be released on July 1. The film was scheduled to screen at Cannes Films Festival.

Dhruva Natchathiram

Dhruva Natchathiram is a Tamil spy film which was written by Gautham Menon and has been directed by him as well. The film starring Vikram and Ritu Verma in lead roles was first announced in 2013 by the writer-director. Suriya was supposed to star in the film that was shelved due to creative differences with him.

The film, which was finally made after almost a decade, has music composed by Harris Jayaraj while Jomon T John and Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran handled the cinematography.

The film revolves around Dhruv alias John who is New-York based undercover agent who, with his team, has been entrusted with a secret mission. The makers of the film are hoping to release the film on August 11.
