Good Luck Jerry
Under the direction of Sidharth Sengupta and the Aanand L Rai's production team, this upcoming movie stars Janhvi in the lead role of Jerry, a financial struggling girl who joins a drug racket to earn easy and quick money and soon gets her family involved too which creates trouble for her. Set in the backdrop of Punjab, the movie is the remake of Tamil dark comedy Kolamaavu Kokila and is set to release on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 29.
Mr. And Mrs. Mahi
Announced in May 2022, this is an upcoming movie starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The movie is a Dharma Productions project helmed by Karan Johar and will be the couple's second film together after Roohi. The movie reportedly revolved around cricket in which Janhvi plays the character named Mahima while Rajkummar plays the role of Mahendra. The shooting of the movie started in May 2022 and not much is revealed about the plot.
Bawaal
Janhvi Kapoor stars in this Nitesh Tiwari directorial opposite Varun Dhawan. The movie, that is going through the shooting phase, has shot some parts of the movie in Lucknow and is expected to complete shot in Indian and European locations. Expected to be a love story, the first look of the film featured Varun riding a Royal Enfield wearing tight fitted shirt and ripped jeans. The two also visited a Nazi camp in Poland for shoot preparations for the film that is expected to come out by the end of 2022.
Mili
This movie is the Hindi remake of 2019 Malayalam survival thriller titled Helen featuring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role of Mili. The movie is about the dynamics of a father-daughter duo and the daughter's ambitions and features how one day, she does not returns home as she ends up trapped in a freezer struggling to stay alive. The movie stars Manoj Pahwa in the role of Mili's father Paul and Sunny Kaushal as Azhar, Mili's boyfriend.
Dostana 2
Starring Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani in lead roles, this will be the sequel to popular 2008 film Dostana starring John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. The movie takes the idea of the love triangle from the previous movie up a notch and features a brother and sister duo who end up falling in love with the same man, brewing new rivalry between them. The movie is produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions banner and directed by Collin D'Cunha.
Takht
Karan Johar's ambitious historical drama revolving around the turmoil in the Mughal dynasty was announced back in 2019. The movie was announced to feature a multi-starrer cast including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie focuses on the battle to succeeding the throne between Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb in which Janhvi played the role of Hirabai. However, due to pandemic, it's idea of the film was halted and it is expected to be on track soon.
Bhediya
This is the third film in the horror comedy universe of producer Dinesh Vijan whose first and second films were Stree and Roohi respectively. Set and shot in the backdrop of Arunachal Pradesh, the movie bring the supernatural creature werewolf alive from the local folktales. The movie stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles and Janhvi is expected to play a cameo as her character from Roohi. The movie is expected to come out on November 25.
