Some are sequels, while others have completely fresh concepts and narratives; we've gathered a list of upcoming May releases so you don't miss out.

10 Upcoming Films in May 2022:

Thar, May 6

Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Satish Kaushik, and Anil Kapoor feature in the suspenseful thriller Thar.  It chronicles the trip of Siddharth, an antique merchant, through a secluded village in Rajasthan that has recently been shaken by a series of brutal killings. However, when a local cop, Surekha Singh, investigates the killings, he runs into Siddharth.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, May 6

Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a film based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange. It will be released as part of the Marvel Comic Universe's fourth phase. Strange and his companions venture throughout the multiverse to confront a terrifying new foe.

Mere Desh Ki Dharti, May 6

Divyenndu, Anupriya Goenka, Anant Vidhaat, and Rajesh Sharma feature in the film. Mere Desh ki Dharti is said to be a social drama that examines the current state of affairs in our country, particularly the rural-urban divide. It demonstrates how urban youth may become an integral part of rural life and the economy. Through its characters, the film lays the way for the two worlds to intersect.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar,  May 13

Ranveer Singh plays the titular character in the film. Shalini Pandey also appears, with Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in supporting roles. The story of Jayeshbhai Jordaar is about a married person (Singh) who will do everything to safeguard his unborn child from his orthodox parents, played by  Irani and Shah. The plot depicts Jayeshbhai fleeing his home with his pregnant wife and older daughter when his parents announce that if the baby is a girl, they will abort her.

Firestarter, May 13

Zac Efron, Ryan Gosling, and Ryan Gosling co-star in the film. Sydney Lemmon, Kurtwood Smith, John Beasley, Michael Greyeyes, and Gloria Reuben are among the other cast members. Firestarter is an upcoming American science fiction horror film about a father who must protect his daughter when she acquires pyrokinesis and is pursued by a secret government agency with the goal of capturing and controlling her.

Aankh Micholi, May 13

Mrunal Thakur, Abhimanyu Dasani, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Divya Dutta, Abhishek Banerjee, Darshan Jariwala, Grusha Kapoor, and Vijay Raaz feature in Aankh Micholi, which revolves around a family of misfits with a crazily hilarious tale. Because they want their daughter to marry a well-to-do NRI, the family is trying to keep some secrets from the NRI man and his family. "Tareek par tareek! #aankhmicholi in theatres 13th May 2022," Dasani tweeted in November 2021.

Agni, played by  Ranaut, is a highly skilled and deadly field agent tasked with gathering intelligence and eliminating Rudraveer, an international human and weaponry trafficker who has dodged identification for eleven years.

Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kiara Advani star in the key roles in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, an upcoming Indian Hindi-language horror comedy film. The haunted haveli reappears, along with amusing occultists, baffling mantras, and a real ghost, in this sequel to the 2007 film of the same name.

Anek, May 27

Ayushmann Khurrana stars in the lead role in Anek, an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film. It takes place in Northeast India, which is a geopolitical hotspot. Anubhav Sinha's project is said to be one of his most expensive. Apart from that, there isn't a lot of information about the film available right now.

Top Gun: Maverick, May 27

Top Gun: Maverick is an action drama film from the United States. It's a follow-up to 1986's Top Gun. Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer co-star alongside Tom Cruise as test pilot Maverick. Cruise reprises his role as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, a former US Navy pilot who is now a flying teacher in the sequel. Admiral Tom Kazansky, who is now a flight instructor, is played by Val Kilmer, who also reprises his role.
