The Afterparty premiered on January 28, 2022 on Apple TV+ and soon became popular among the audience. The series got a great rating on movies and show rating platforms and was even renewed for a second season because of its popularity. It starred Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Dane Franco and Zoe Chao in pivotal roles. Here are 10 things that you should definitely know about this popular murder mystery.

  1. The show is created and directed by Christopher Miller, famous for producing Spider Man: Into The Spider Verse. Christopher is also the executive producer along with Phil Lord and Anthony King.
  2. The cast of the show includes Dave Franco as Xavier, pop star and actor and the one who is murdered, Sam Richardson as Aniq, the prime suspect, Zoe Chao, Ike Barinholtz, Ben Schwartz, Ilana Glazer and Jamie Demetriou as Zoe, Brett, Yasper, Chelsea and Walt as the former students of the high school present at the reunion.
  3. The show also had the guest appearance of American actors Channing Tatum and Will Forte as themselves who played co-stars of Xavier who was an actor.
  4. The music score for the series is given by composer Daniel Pemberton. The show also released a separate album titled R.I.P Xavier on February 1, 2022 that had four songs performed by Xavier.
  5. Season one of the show consisted of 8 episodes and 7 out of 8 episodes' were titled on the name of the character whose perspective was shown in the episode. The eighth was titled 'High School'.

  9. The shooting for the show began in November 2021 the trailer was released on December 14, 2021. The show got a positive response and good ratings from the critics and audience.
  10. On March 2, 2022, the show was renewed for a season 2 and reportedly, it will keep Tiffany Haddish as Detective Danner and tell a new story.
