Sun Productions took to their Twitter handle to announce that actor Tamannaah Bhatia is a part of Jailer's cast. The production house shared a photo of Bhatia and captioned it, "Tamannaah Bhatia from the sets of Jailer." The poster shows Bhatia wearing a black off-shoulder dress with her hair in a bun.

Tamannaah Bhatia then took to Instagram to share the news, along with a few first-look posters from the film. She shared a poster of Jailer featuring actor Rajinikanth. The superstar is clad in formal wear in the poster and is seen walking with his hands folded behind him.
The next picture shows actor Mohan Lal sporting a beard and glasses. He's seen standing facing the window.
The next picture shows a glimpse of Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar.
The fourth picture features Telugu actor Sunil with his back to the camera and his hands folded behind him.
The final photo is of Bhatia dolled up in a black off-shoulder dress.
Bhatia captioned her post, "Finally, I can share this with you all... The news is out!!!"
The Bahubali actor added, "I'm so happy and honoured to be a part of this movie, Jailer with the one and only 'Thalaivar' Rajinikanth sir directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Can't wait to share this experience with all of you..."
This will be Bhatia's first collaboration with superstar Rajnikanth. It is speculated by the media and fans that Bhatia will be playing a cameo as the superstar's daughter and will appear in the flashback sequence. As of yet, no official information regarding her role has been released.
Jailer is an upcoming action comedy film written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under his production house, Sun Pictures.
This will be superstar Rajinikanth's 169th film. With Rajinikanth playing the lead, the cast will also include actors Shiva Rajkumar, Mohan Lal, Sunil, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, and Yogi Babu, among others.
The music will be composed by music director Anirudh Ravichandran. This will be the third collaboration with superstar for the music director.
The film was officially announced in February 2022 and was tentatively titled Thalaivar 169. The official title of the film, Jailer, was released in June 2022. Shooting commenced in August 2022.
The film is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2023, coinciding with Tamil New Year's Day. On the work front, Tamannaah Bhatia will be seen in the Telugu film Bhola Shankar, Bole Chudiyan in Hindi, and Bandra in Malayalam.
