Taapsee Pannu Recalls Humiliating
Taapsee Pannu praises Twitter Users for creating a support system during COVID-19: Actor Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter on April 20, to reveal that she chose to stay on it, "inspite of (Twitter) being one of the most toxic platforms of social media."

Pannu tweeted that seeing her timeline filled with support being asked and selfless/agenda free help being offered made her believe in the power of intuition once again. "Beautiful.”

Many people, influencers, doctors, mental health professionals, home-cooks etc are providing help and information to those in need as India continues to battle the second wave of the pandemic. Influencers like Tisca Chopra, Disha Ravi, Kusha Kapila, Sucharita Taygi, Jasmin Kaur, Bhumi Pednekar etc, who enjoy a massive reach on the platform, are using their power to amplify COVID-19 supports and sources from their handles. While Twitterati has changed its game to come to the rescue of COVID-19 patients, the existence of a troll brigade in any and every corner of the digital platform is not a secret. Like several popular celebrities, Pannu has faced the wrath of this troll brigade time and again.

In an interview with SpotboyE in February this year, the actor talked about the effect of trolling on her and her family. Pannu said that although it affects them deeply, her voice counts and she will continue to speak up. “I don’t get triggered easily. When I do, I don’t stoop down to the level of the troll. I will never lose my dignity in replying” she added.

On March 3, 2021, Pannu's properties were raided by the Income Tax department of India, alongside those of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. "I know I’m in the public eye and we pay a cost of being a public figure. So you need to be ready for any kind of scrutiny at any point," the actor said in an interview after the raid. Read more on that here.

On work front, Pannu will be seen in films like Looop Lapeta, Shabash Mithu, Haseen Dilruba and Rashmi Rocket.
