South Ka Swara: Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth recently said that social media users have begun calling him ‘South Ka Swara’ after actor Swara Bhasker, who is known to be pretty vocal on various social issues.

Actor Siddharth, popularly known for his roles in the movies like Striker and Bommarillu is famous for taking a stand online on social and political issues. Siddharth today tweeted that the ‘Hindi speaking junta’ has coined the term ‘South Ka Swara’ for him. He further added that he would ‘happily be Swara from anywhere or anytime’.

Retweeting Siddharth’s tweet, Bhasker wrote that he was ‘India ka Siddharth’.  She also added, ” We are soooooo thankful for you! Also, hey Hottie,”

Numerous fans commented on this exchange between the two stars, praising them for taking a stand and always raising their voices.

Another user replied that it was nice to see the actors admiring and respecting each other.

Swara Bhasker is accustomed to being trolled on Twitter for her opinions. However, when she recently began to show up in trends again, the actor was clueless as to why it had happened. She tweeted, “Been trending for 24 hours and I still don’t know why?!?! I guess I am happy to distract whoever this is from the depressing pandemic reality!?! #Trending #trendingbutwhy”.

Who is Swara Bhasker?

Swara Bhasker is known for her performance in movies like Raanjhanaa, Nil Battey Sannata, Veere Di Wedding and Tanu Weds Manu. She was last seen in the Netflix original series Bhaag Beani Bhaag in 2020. She will next be seen in the film Jahaan Chaar Yaar, directed by Kamal Pandey. The film will also feature Meher Vij, Shikha Talsania and Pooja Chopra.

The actor celebrated her 33rd birthday on April 9 this year. Her close friend and costar Sonam Kapoor took to social media to wish her on the occasion. “Dear Behen, we just spoke a day before and I realised that our friendship is a godsend. Sakshi, Bindiya and Chandrika… of every person you’ve essayed, my favourite remains the one you are off-screen. May your voice only amplify with time, love you lots.
