Anand Ahuja, Sonam Kapoor Announce Son's Name, Share First Family Photo

The name of Anan Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor's son has finally been revealed and it is Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. She also shared the newborn's first photo, featuring the family paired in matching attire.

In a recent Instagram post, actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband, entrepreneur Anand Ahuja, finally revealed the name of their baby boy. The parents gave their baby the name Vayu Kapoor Ahuja on the anniversary of the first month of his life. They revealed Vayu's first picture and discussed the significance of his name.

The parents wrote in the caption, “In the spirit of the force that has breathed new meaning into our lives...In the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem who embody immense courage and strength...In the spirit of all that is sacred, life-giving and eternally ours, we seek blessings for our son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.”

The parents continued by explaining their reasoning for the baby's name: In the Hindu scriptures, Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas. He is the supremely potent king of the wind, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem, and Madhav, and the god of breath. Vayu, the principle of life and intellect in the universe, is represented by Praana. Vayu is related to all of the gods of Praana, Indra, Shiva, and Kali. He can extinguish evil as easily as he can create beings. Vayu is praised for being bold, heroic, and stunningly attractive. I appreciate your good thoughts and prayers for Vayu and his family.

This is the first image of Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja, and Vayu as a whole family. They were all dressed in matching traditional clothes in saffron tones. On August 20, the couple welcomed their son into the world and got married in 2018. The actor celebrated the baby's first month with the family by showing off his boss baby-themed birthday cake earlier in the day.

Sonam Kapoor will next be seen in Blind, which also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey, on the job front. It is a remake of the same-titled 2011 Korean movie. She was recently seen in Koffee With Karan Sesaon 7.
