Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 returned to television on July 29, and fans had a trip down memory lane. Smriti Irani is back in daily soaps, 25 years later, as her iconic character Tulsi Virani. She shares the screen with  Amar Upadhyay, who plays Mihir Virani. The show, produced by Ektaa Kapoor, originally ran from 2000 to 2008 and became a favourite watch among many. It followed the bonds, challenges, and emotions of a traditional Gujarati family.

In Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti Irani played the compassionate and sanskari daughter-in-law in a Gujarati family. Through the show, she became an iconic symbol of Indian television, representing strong family values. She is now back to embody the beloved Tulsi Virani in the show's reboot. 

Irani recently took her social media followers on a trip down memory lane, posting a throwback photo from the show with a nostalgic caption. The picture featured her as Tulsi, and her co-stars Apara Mehta and Sudha Shivpuri. "25 years ago, a story entered Indian homes and quietly became part of countless lives," she wrote.
