Irani says in the promo, "I will surely be back. It's a years-long bond, after all. It's time to meet you all once again." (translated from Hindi). The show, produced by Ektaa Kapoor, originally ran from 2000 to 2008 and became a favourite watch among many. It followed the bonds, challenges, and emotions of the Viranis, a traditional Gujarati family.

Smriti Irani as Tulsi

In Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti Irani played the compassionate and sanskari daughter-in-law in a traditional Gujarati family. Through the show, she became an iconic symbol of Indian television, representing strong family values. She is now back to embody the beloved Tulsi Virani in the show's reboot.

On X, Irani's team posted about the upcoming show. "Some journeys come full circle not for nostalgia, but for purpose... This isn’t just a comeback. It’s a continuation of love. Of storytelling that heals, connects, and reminds us who we are," they wrote.

Irani recently took her social media followers on a trip down memory lane, posting a throwback photo from the show with a nostalgic caption. The picture featured her as Tulsi, and her co-stars Apara Mehta and Sudha Shivpuri. "25 years ago, a story entered Indian homes and quietly became part of countless lives," she wrote.

To every viewer who made Tulsi a part of their own family—thank you. This journey wasn’t mine alone. It was ours. And it always will be," Irani further added.

Fans share excitement

One of Irani's followers commented under her post, "Till date, no show has matched this legacy. Amazing starcast. There can never be another Tulsi." Another said, "This show is legacy and childhood memories. It's 'pure emotion'" Meanwhile, Producer Ektaa Kapoor wrote on X, "It's been 25 years. But feels like just yesterday."
