What To Know About Sindi Buthelezi

Buthelezi, who hailed from the South African province of Gauteng, stepped foot into the world of film and theatre with grassroots participation. Thereon, she got her big break with Generations in 2013.

A soap opera from the 1990s that tracked the lives and aspirations of the South African youth, Generations had by then cemented its position as one of the most-watched shows in the country. The SABC1 series however hit a snag in 2014 after the cast members went on strike protesting low pay. The show returned after a rebrand.

Buthelezi's role in the soap opera as Zinhle, the girlfriend of Chopper (played by Mandla Gaduka), was memorable among fans. She was also known for other small-screen roles in Soul City and Ashes To Ashes.
