Shruti Haasan Financial challenges: Actor Shruti Haasan called the pandemic by far the most difficult time in her decade-long career. The 35-year-old actor called herself an independent woman who is proud to pay her own bills and acknowledged that she is facing financial constraints.
She revealed that she does not accept financial support from her parents, actor-politician Kamal Haasan and Sarika.
In a recent interview, the Ramaiya Vastavaiya actor revealed she is scared to step out and thus cannot fulfill her work commitments. “Being on set without a mask is very scary. I’m not going to lie," she stressed but also pointed out how she is left with no other option but to resume work after the pandemic.
Haasan admitted that it’s tough to shoot amid a health scare, yet important to do so once things restart. "I have financial constraints, just like anybody else,” she said. She noted, “When they’re ready to shoot, I’ve to go out there as I also have shoots to complete and other professional commitments that I need to finish.”
The actor, who has been working in Tamil, Telugu as well as Bollywood films, bought her own house in Andheri, Mumbai.
Haasan reportedly moved out of her father’s place eleven years ago. She has also tried a career in singing. She said that everyone in the industry has to pay bills and that’s why she “will have to get back at work”.
Calling herself an “independent woman”, the daughter of the veteran actor shared how she has her own limitations. "I don’t have my daddy or mommy helping me,” she claimed. On the work front, Haasan was last seen making a cameo appearance in Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab. She was also seen opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the Tamil film Laabam and is currently busy working on her Telugu film Salaar which also co-stars Prabhas.
