Bridgerton, a web show based on historical romance fiction by American best-selling novelist Julia Quinn, has a large fan base. The first two seasons of the show ran concurrently with the first two novels by Quinn. Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) love tale with Simon (Regé-Page Jean) and Anthony Bridgerton's (Jonathon Bailey) romance with Kate (Simone Ashley) were the focus of both seasons one and two.

The romance between Penelope and Colin will be the focus of Season 3 of the online series. Bridgerton will return for its third season in the near future, but it may still be a while. The plot follows a young and naive woman as she navigates the new seaside town of Sanditon during the Regency era. Charlotte is played by Rose Williams, who moves to Sanditon, a small beach village, and meets Sidney (Theo James), with whom she has an initial clash in typical Austenian style. Andrew Davies turned Jane Austen's unfinished manuscript Sanditon into a British historical drama television series. It lasted two seasons and fourteen episodes.

Harlots

Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton), a brothel owner and mother of two kids, relocates her business to a fancy London neighbourhood in the hopes of attracting wealthier clients. This puts her in conflict with Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville), a rival madam who owns an upscale brothel that caters primarily to the wealthy. There are plenty of scandals, rivalry, and romance in Harlots, but it's also notable for how it normalises sex work. The series lasted three seasons and had a total of 24 episodes.

The Pursuit of Love

It stars Lily James and Emily Beecham as cousins and BFFs who grow up between the World Wars and drool over boys together despite their polar opposite personalities. The Pursuit of Love is a three-episode British romance drama television miniseries based on Nancy Mitford's 1945 novel The Pursuit of Love.

The Cook of Castamar

Michelle Jenner and Roberto Enriquez star in the series. The story is set in 1720 in Madrid, during Philip V's reign. Clara Belmonte (Michelle Jenner) experiences anxiety issues after the death of her father and seeks sanctuary in kitchens, where she feels safe. She begins working as a cook in the Duke of Castamar's (Roberto Enriquez) kitchens, who has been touched by the tragedy of his pregnant wife's death. It is a 12-episode Spanish period drama television series based on the novel of the same name by Fernando J. Muez.

The Great

Catherine the Great, a young woman, is the central character of the series and is played by Elle Fanning. The series is fictitious and depicts Catherine in her childhood and marriage to Russian Emperor Peter III, with the conspiracy to assassinate her immoral and dangerous husband at the centre. It's a streaming television series that's defined as a historical and satirical black comedy drama. It had 20 episodes and lasted two seasons.

Outlander

Caitriona Balfe plays Claire Randall, a married former Second World War military nurse in Scotland who is brought back to 1743 in 1945. There, she meets, falls in love with, and marries Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a Highland warrior from Gabaldon's fictional Clan Fraser of Lovat, and becomes engaged in the Jacobite rebellion. Outlander is a historical drama television series based on Diana Gabaldon's ongoing novel series of the same name. It ran for a total of 75 episodes across six seasons.

Victoria

Victoria is a three-season historical television drama with 25 episodes. Victoria's early years are chronicled in the series, including her marriage to Albert and her political responsibilities in the 1830s and 1850s. Dickinson

Emily, who is played by Hailee Steinfeld, wants to be a great writer, but her conservative parents want her to settle down and be a housewife.  Dickinson is Emily's coming-of-age narrative that is about a woman's struggle to be heard and it aired for 30 episodes over three seasons. The timeless plot and era-appropriate attire and sets are given a fresh coat of paint by modern music and language, giving a genre that is usually reserved for the elderly a new lease on life.

Poldark

Aidan Quinn plays Captain Ross Poldark, a Revolutionary War veteran who comes home to Cornwall to find his girlfriend engaged to his cousin and his father died after he was assumed to have been killed in the battle. The series, based on Winston Graham's novels, is a sweeping romance with British accents that advances at a furious pace as Poldark rebuilds his life and finds new love.
