Did Shah Rukh Khan Announce SRK+ OTT Platform?

Actor Shah Rukh Khan took to his Instagram and Twitter handles on March 15, 2022, to make an announcement regarding 'SRK+'. This announcement comes as an answer to his promotional videos, teasing his fans about his OTT debut soon. Many assumed that the Bollywood actor is going to launch his own OTT channel, turns out he is not.

Shah Rukh Khan is back in action with his new venture and releases this year. Starting off this year with a thumbs-up ad, that caused all the rage in the fans, it seems Shah Rukh Khan is now all set to dive into the OTT world. SRK has been keeping a low profile and was last seen film Zero in 2018.

He is all set to make his comeback to the silver screens, in Pathaan, along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in January 2023. The Pathaan teaser release, early this year sent fans, who have been waiting eagerly to see Khan back on screen, into a frenzy. Khan will also be seen making a cameo appearance in Salman Khan's Tiger 3 and R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.

Shah Rukh Khan announces SRK+: What we know

The announcement of the launch doesn’t come as a surprise, as Shah Rukh Khan had already teased the fans with a quirky video last year, hinting at a possible OTT debut. As per a report by Indian Express, SRK+ is not an application that many believed it to be but a promotional campaign for Disney + Hotstar with Shah Rukh Khan. Sharing the post on his Twitter account, the actor had written, "Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein (sic).”

The confusion got cleared after the actor posted the advertisement on his social media handle. The ad also had Anurag Kashyap and one more actor in it. The trio was seen discussing new story narratives but they were realising that all that was pitched in the meeting was already there on Disney+Hotstar. It is still unclear what the OTT platform and Shah Rukh Khan have planned with SRK+.
