Nushrratt Bharuccha And Diana Penty Join Akshay Kumar's Selfiee Cast

Akshay Kumar has released a new update for his upcoming comedy-drama flick, Selfiee. With the addition of two new female leads to the Selfiee cast, the star cast shared a fun reel on social media today. Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty, both actors, are set to star in the film.

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi unveiled their new film, Selfiee, in January, along with a short teaser that revealed the film to be a comedy-drama. The cast and director, Karan Johar, both announced the news on their Instagram accounts, indicating that filming will begin soon.

Months later, Kumar has used social media to make another announcement about his film, this time revealing two additional actors who have joined the cast. Kumar have announced Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty as the film's female leads while Hashmi also joined him.

Selfiee Cast Announcement:

In the announcement video, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Diana Penty, Akshay Kumar, and Emraan Hashmi were seen grooving together in a car. After that, all of the stars posed for the camera while Kumar snapped a selfie of them all together.

Posting this video as reel he also wrote, "With @nushrrattbharuccha and @dianapenty joining in, the #Selfiee squad is in full gear! Whatsay @therealemraan , ho jaye muqabla?"

Meanwhile, Bharuccha also shared the same reel on her Instagram and wrote, "All smiles always when surrounded with the best energy! Super excited to join the team of #Selfiee!(emoji)"

Reportedly, the film is said to be based on a famous rockstar who is known for his driving abilities but loses his licence mysteriously. However, the situation spiralled out of control as this star met with a motor inspector who also happens to be one of his biggest fans. It is yet to be revealed if the filming has started or not.

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films, and Sukumaran's Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames are teaming up to produce Selfiee. Raj A Mehta is the director of the film.
