The new Hindi web series Scoop debuted today and is directed by the acclaimed director Hansal Mehta. The web series is based on Jigna Vora's autobiographical book, Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, which she wrote while working as a journalist. Jigna Vora was also one of the main suspects in the Jyotirmoy Dey murder case.

Scoop began streaming on Netflix in advance of the 12th anniversary of the murder of Mumbai crime reporter Jyotirmoy Dey and promised to bring back memories of his gory demise at the hands of the ever-present mafia.

Karishma Tanna, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Harman Baweja, Tanishtha Chatterjee, and Deven Bhojani play the key characters in the series.
