Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai fame Saumya Tandon dismissed reports which claimed that she used a fake identity card to get her first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine. Tweeting a clarification on Friday, Jun 4, she said that she took the vaccine dose from near her home in Mumbai and not Thane.

"Contrary to some media reports claiming that I have taken my first COVID vaccine dose from a facility in Thane by dubious means is untrue," she said. "I have taken my first jab but from a centre near my house following proper procedures. Please don't believe in unverified reports and claims," she added.

Reacting to her tweet, a user said, "Mam why r u wasting 140 words for clarification. Jst simply put the screenshot of your registration page from cowin & also upload your verified certificate from cowin if u hv taken 1st dose. I believe it's the best possible way to shut up all this chaos around".

Writer Pranjal Choudhary too asked her to disclose her vaccine certificate in order to clear the confusion.

Journalist Shahid Ansari shared the picture of an ID card and asked Tandon if it was real or fake, to which she replied, "fake".

A fan came to the fore to support her and said, "I don't understand why media spreads false information without proper verification. Everytime they do the same blunder". "Mam you must take action against them. They blindly spread rumours and claim any unverified report regarding you which is a very serious concern," they added.
