'SatyaPrem Ki Katha', Kiara Advani And Kartik Aaryan's Upcoming Film Renamed

After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani will be seen pairing up again onscreen, for their upcoming movie SatyaPrem Ki Katha, previously Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which was announced back in 2021. However, Kartik Aaryan shared the first look of the movie yesterday, on Kiara Advani's birthday eve, revealing the new name of the movie was changed due to backlash received on the former title.

Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan have had a successful year so far, with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 being one of the biggest hits of the year. Now pairing up onscreen again, the actors are all set to bring another love story our way soon. Delayed due to the pandemic and restrictions, the movie is finally set to go on ground soon.

Wishing Kiara Advani on her birthday, on Sunday July 31, Kartik revealed the new title of the movie. He captioned the post-“Happy Birthday Katha !! Tumhaara SatyaPrem. #SatyapremKiKatha. @kiaraaliaadvani.”

SatyaPrem Ki Katha- Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan Pair-Up Again

After receiving backlash about hurting religious sentiments for the title SatyaNarayan Ki Katha, the upcoming movie title has now been changed. A statement was issued by the makers that read, “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey.”

Marking Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan's second collaboration, the movie also marks the Bollywood debut of director Sameer Vidwans, who has previously directed Anandi Gopal, a National Award-winning Marathi drama. The director commented on Kartik Aaryan's post stating- “Mere Satyaprem aur Katha.” Kartik Aaryan has previously stated that Satyaprem Ki Katha is a story which is very close to his heart. The upcoming film is reportedly set to be an epic love story bankrooled under Sajid Nadiadwala productions. No release date has been announced by the makers yet. Further details are awaited.
