In a recent video, Saif Ali Khan referred to Sharmila Tagore as an inspiration for all working women. He commended his mother for defying stereotypes and then used his actor-wife Kareena Kapoor as an example. Khan also explained that he was caring for his son, Taimur Ali Khan, in India while his spouse, Kareena Kapoor, was filming a movie in London. Khan claimed that the only reason was what they had learned from seeing his mother, who went on to make some of her biggest hits after getting married.

The veteran performer recently shot for a singing reality show, Indian Idol 13. On Wednesday, Saba Ali Khan, the daughter of Tagore, posted a video from the episode in which Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Soha Ali Khan expressed their love for their "amma" (mother). Saba Ali Khan wrote in her caption, “Tribute to ma… from the family.”

The video showed a happy Sharmila Tagore watching her family's video greetings and a collection of their old family photos on a large screen while on stage alongside Indian Idol 13 participants. The judges of Indian Idol, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Himesh Reshammiya, were also seen in the clip.

Saif Ali Khan Sets Equal Parenting Goals:

Saif Ali Khan said in Hindi, "Adaab amma (hello, mother). I want to express to everyone how inspirational you are, especially to your children, today. You have worked in the film industry for 60 years. We (her children) never felt your absence in our lives or at home, despite how much you worked. You've always had a healthy balance between work and life. You have always served as an example for us and for other women, especially those who work. You've always broken stereotypes. "

Khan further continued, "You (Sharmila) have continued to work in films even after having children, and given the biggest hits of your career like Aradhana, Amar Prem, Chupke Chukpe, and so many more. Because of you, we now appreciate working women." The actor added, "Tabhi toh mein aaj ghar par baith kar Taimur ka khyal rakh raha hoon aur Kareena London mein apni film shoot kar rahi hai (Because of this, I am able to look after Taimur today while Kareena shoots her movie in London.)."

Kareena Kapoor is currently working on her next project with Hansal Mehta. The actor is presently filming in London for the untitled movie.
