Previously titled MayDay, in the 48-second Runway 34 teaser was unveiled today. Offset against a soulful tune, Amitabh Bachchan is heard stating the law of Gravity. Runway 34 is reportedly based on a true story of the 2015 Doha-Kochi flight that managed to escape post-facing difficulties due to an unexpected thunderstorm.
Taking to his social media to unveil the teaser, actor-director Ajay Devgn wrote, “The truth is hidden 35,000 feet above the ground. Now experience the teaser of #Runway34.” The teaser showcases visuals inside of a cockpit, of an aircraft flying through a thunderstorm. The sneak peek provided into the film, has urged the fans to know more.
The film stars Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet, Boman Irani, Angira Dhar, and Aakanksha Singh. Runway 34 marks Ajay Devgn's return as a director post Shivaay.
Revealing more about the film in an interview, Ajay Devgn has said, “Close your eyes and think - each and every one of us must have been in a situation’s in life when we have felt all-powerful for one moment and felt completely helpless the next minute. We have all been through that moment when we have felt we can conquer the world and yet the very next situation has thrown us out of gear. That ‘storm’ brewing within you, playing with your emotions; tearing you up; that turbulent ride that makes you ask – is this a nightmare? Or is this real? These are the sentiments associated with Runway 34. It’s got terrific highs, alarming lows, a sense of jubilance, and dejection, all within the screenplay. Honestly, letting this script just pass me by, was not even a consideration. I knew I had to make it.”
Runway 34 teaser unveiled
The teaser unveiled today has announced the release of the trailer on, March 21, 2022. Runway 34 is all set to release on Eid this year, on April 29, 2022. Announcing the release date, Salman Khan has promoted the movie in an Instagram post stating- "I don’t have any film ready toh maine apne bhai @ajaydevgn se request ki hai if he can come on Eid, Eidi dene ke liye.”
The teaser showcases Rakul Preet and Ajay Devgan in their pilot attires. Runway 34 is co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Harish Kewlani, Tarlok Singh Jethi, Hasnain Husaini, and Jay Kanujia along with Ajay Devgan. The movie is all set to release on the big screens, in April 2022.
