'RRR' Hindi Version OTT Release Date Announced; Film To Premiere In June

Telugu blockbuster RRR film's Hindi version will soon be released on OTT! The film's Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam language versions are already streaming on OTT after a successful stint at the theatres.

RRR is an epic action drama film directed by SS Rajamouli, based on India’s freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheemand starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr (Jr. NTR), Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt. The movie was released worldwide on April 24 2022 and had a successful month-long theatrical run.

The movie features Jr. NTR as Komaram Bheem/Akthar, a Gond tribal leader from Telangana who fought the Nizam of Hyderabad for the independence of Hyderabad and Ram Charan plays Alluri Sitarama Raju, a rebel from Andhra Pradesh who launched a violent battle against the British Raj. Alia Bhatt is seen playing Sita, along with Ajay Devgn as Raju’s father, Shriya Saran as Rama Raju’s mother, and Olivia Morris as Bheem’s love interest.

First announced in March 2018, the movie's release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, after a 3-year-long wait, the movie was finally released in April 2022. Applauded for its cast and grandeur, the movie surpassed the Rs 1,000 crore mark, becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time within 16 days.

Zee5 bagged the streaming rights of RRR in languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. RRR will make its OTT debut on the streaming platform on May 20, 2o22. The OTT platform announced the online premiere, on Twitter stating, “Fire and Water coming together as a FORCE, a never-before experience right to your house”.

RRR Hindi Film OTT Release Date: When and Where To Watch

Reports have now revealed that RRR Hindi Film streaming right has been bagged by OTT platform Netflix.  The Hindi version will premier on the OTT platform Netflix, on June 2, 2022, just days after the movie's OTT debut on another platform.

Netflix has officially confirmed the news taking to Twitter, stating- "Did you hear that ROAR? THAT'S US SCREAMING IN EXCITEMENT! RRR is coming to Netflix in Hindi and WE. ARE. READY."
