Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani first look out: Actor Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar have kickstarted the first schedule shoot of their romantic-drama Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani on Friday. Both Bhatt and Singh today, August 20, shared a special video to announce the commencement of their film which is being directed by director and producer Johar.
Bhatt has shared glimpses of the first day of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani shoot on social media early morning and the Internet is thrilled. In the clip, she and co-star Singh can be seen getting ready for their respective roles while Johar dons the director's hat on set. Interestingly, this is Johar's comeback film as a director after a gap of almost four years and he has been looking forward to another collaboration between Singh and Bhatt after his ambitious project, Takht, which is been shelved indefinitely.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was announced last month also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles, as per reports.
The backstage video begins with Johar's voiceover and features him along with the lead actors of the film. We also get a glimpse of Bhatt's look in the film, she dresses in a chiffon saree and wears a big bindi. Singh, on the other hand, sports animal prints, bright colours and quirky outfits. Taking to her social media accounts, Bhatt wrote, "Too many feels to fit in a caption" and shared the clip which also features designer Manish Malhotra and several members of the cast and crew. It ends with Bhatt embracing Singh.
Shuru ho gayi hai yeh anokhi kahani of Rocky & Rani: Singh took to Instagram to share a clip with the cast and crew members and announced that they have begun the shoot.
Sharing the video, the filmmaker wrote, "The day is finally here and I have so many feelings going on in my head but what emerges at the top is - gratitude!"
Written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, Johar announced the film on Singh’s birthday, on July 6, and said it is definitely going to be an exceptional love story. His last film as a director was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which was released in 2016. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is scheduled for a 2022 release.
