Popular RJ And Film Critic Stutee Ghosh's Ailing Father Dies Of COVID-19 Complications

Popular radio jockey and film critic RJ Stutee Ghosh lost her father, Dr Ranjan K Ghosh, to the coronavirus on May 8. Calling him "kind, gentle" and "loving", Stutee shared the news of her father's demise this morning on Twitter. She said that he had recovered well from COVID-19 and "fought bravely" but the family lost him.

Many social media users extended their condolences after she shared the news of her father's demise with her followers.

RJ Stutee's father had been in hospital for the past few weeks. The Delhi-based radio jockey had tweeted out looking for a bed for her father when his health deteriorated last month. "Desperately looking for an ICU bed for my father . He is COVID +ve . short of breath . Has diabetes and kidneys affected . Oxygen saturation - 78-80 Needs immediate hospitalisation . Please help!! (sic)," Stutee tweeted.

Earlier this month, she informed her fans that she was taking a break from social media since her father's health was "worrying” the family. In another tweet, she wrote, "Those sending me #sos msgs and requests . I might not be as active as I was . Will still try and help and amplify as and when I can (sic)."

While taking care of her father, last week, she had taken to Instagram to share tips on "5 ways you can help COVID patients"

"Summoned up all my strength to make this video. Hope this helps. Plz have a look and help spread the word," she wrote in the caption. "

RJ Stutee's tips to care for COVID-19 patients:

• Do not send unverified numbers
• Ensure the patient and family have enough food
• Do not send stuff that are cash on delivery
• Donate plasma
• Check on them, message or call, and tell them you are.
